This Barbados rum, and more specifically from Foursquare, was selected and bottled by the Ricci Family for the 2023 edition of its "Exception" collection.
It follows the tradition of Foursquare bottlings. It is a blend of column-distilled molasses rums and other pot-still distilled rums from the same vintage, in this case 2005.
The rum was aged in ex-bourbon American oak barrels, then in a new French oak barrel.
In this collection, the Ricci Family has accustomed us to bottlings without any additives, and this one remains true to that rule. It has not been reduced, so it is cask strength. Only 167 numbered rums were produced.
